Good afternoon!   President Trump held his first rally of his 2024 presidential campaign in Waco, Texas Saturday night. More than 15,000 people reportedly attended the rally and lines for the rally stretched for miles.    Before the rally, the president released a list of promoinent Texas Republicans endorsing him for 2024. The list includes Texas Lt. Gov Dan Patrick, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and 11 different U.S. Congressman.   President Trump is undefeated against the Deep State. Despite their attempts to take him out before the 2024 election, Trump's poll numbers are surging. Ron DeSantis' terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week:   Ron DeSantis is sinking in the polls because Republicans are realizing just how phony he is.  DeSantis said that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's reported plans to abuse his power isn't a "real issue." Congressman Troy Nehls responded: "The comments made by Governor Ron DeSantis about the possible indictment and arrest of President Donald Trump were unfair. The American people now know DeSantis is not yet ready to lead our country. America needs leadership, and Donald Trump will deliver again in 2024."  On Ukraine, DeSantis tried to make it seem to Tucker Carlson Tonight that he is not a warmonger, but after catching flack from Republican senators and the Wall Street Journal editorial board, DeSantis resorted to copying John McCain and Mitt Romney's rhetoric on Russia. Washington Times commentary editor Kelly Sadler said, "Donald Trump is true to who he is and we've seen Ron DeSantis flounder, quite frankly, in the past two weeks." All sorts of Republicans -- never-Trumpers and MAGA Republicans -- have criticized Ron DeSantis in the past week. Steve Bannon remarked that DeSantis is "controlled opposition." Daily Beast columnist Matt Lewis wrote that DeSantis "seems out of his league." NBC reported that "Ron DeSantis' donors and allies question if he's ready for 2024." Bloomberg reported: "DeSantis's Bad Week Shows Beating Trump Will Be a Difficult Task" Axios reported: "With Trump's lead over DeSantis growing over the last month, it's likelier that Trump's support among the MAGA base will be hard to dislodge."

Everyone agrees -- Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg would destroy the American justice system by bringing a bogus case against President Trump:    Rep. James Comer: "This is about politics. This is a presidential candidate. When you look at what we believe the role of Manhattan DA should be is to fight crime. That's one of the biggest issues in New York…We have a crime crisis in many of our cities, we're trying to do something about that in the House of Representatives, and one of the reasons we believe we have high crime rates in certain parts of America is because we have prosecutors that are soft on crime." Dan Abrams, ABC's Chief Legal Affairs Correspondent: "If this had been you, I don't know that seven years later they would have revisited this misdemeanor and try to turn it into a felony." Leo Terrell, Civil Rights Attorney: "[Bragg] allows New York City to run rampant with crime — career criminals — he downplays every felony, but he wants to go after Donald Trump…Alvin Bragg is a total embarrassment to the law profession." Jonathan Turley, George Washington University Law School Professor: "This is a political prosecution, I think it's very hard to avoid that conclusion based on the lack of law supporting the reported indictment but also how this indictment came about…The fact is that even Democrats have been critical of this proposed indictment." Al Mottur, Democrat Strategist: "I'm worried about it…Prosecutors have discretion to bring cases, I believe in this instance it's a bit of an overreach."
