I grew up with nothing in my Mamaw's small house.  Back then, just as right now, $5 was a lot of money. $5 is the difference between gas or groceries.  It's the difference between medicine or the powerbill.  $5 is a lot of money, and that's why I know asking you for $5 is a big ask.
